Commercial Excellence is Strategic Infrastructures (S.I) framework for integrating and optimising its commercial capability that helps achieve our goals for both onshore and offshore delivery.

In light of an internal move across our business units, S.I have a new opportunity for a management grade addition to their commercial function, consisting of around 110 professionals.

Under the direction of the Head of Commercial Excellence, the Commercial Strategy Implementation Lead will be responsible for defining, driving and delivering an integrated commercial strategy across the business, hitting key milestones along the way to enable both delivery and business growth. You will be flexible and driven to deliver and manage a portfolio of projects as required, and the lessons learnt from your work will be shared across the wider business (and beyond).

Commercial Excellence will result in the following outcomes for Strategic Infrastructure:

• An effective and cost-efficient commercial delivery model
• A strong and flexible commercial management organisation
• World-class decision-making capabilities supported by fit-for-purpose tools, standards and controls
• Robust commercial performance management and execution

This role is hybrid based at our Warwick and London offices. Warwick has free onsite parking, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

Leveraging this hybrid working, the local team currently work typically 2 days per week in the Warwick office, which is flexible dependent on personal and business needs.

We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

About You

• Significant experience operating at a senior level within a commercial, infrastructure, or capital delivery environment.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale strategy implementation or business transformation in a complex, matrix organisation.
• Strong understanding of commercial lifecycle management across major capital programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Experience in business transformation or change management would be beneficial

What You'll Do

You will:

• Lead and own end-to-end implementation of strategic Commercial Excellence initiatives such as corporate memory, commercial toolkit roll-out, and commercial dashboards, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities and delivery of measurable business value.
• Translate strategic initiatives into clear execution roadmaps, performance tracking, ensuring delivery against key milestones and outcomes.
• Identify, shape and deliver high-impact commercial improvement opportunities using data, insight and industry best practice.
• Act as a senior integrator across functions, driving alignment and collaboration to deliver complex, cross-business commercial initiatives.
• Lead on providing clear, evidence-based recommendations to senior leadership, influencing decision making and driving adoption across Strategic Infrastructure.
• Lead the embedding of commercial standards, tools, controls and ways of working to strengthen capability and consistency.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and performance excellence across the commercial function.
• Communicate initiatives with impact, influencing and aligning stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Capture and scale learning across programmes to ensure sustainable, repeatable improvement and organisational maturity.

What You'll Get

A competitive starting salary between £64,000 - £76,000 dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
