As a Commercial Project Manager, you will report to the Major Connections Senior Project Manager and work within Connections, Major Connections based in our Maidstone office. You will be a permanent employee with a salary of £76,229 + car/allowance and a bonus of 3%. Your main responsibility will be to manage several major connections in the SPN area and to ensure successful pre and post contract management of all projects to exceed the customer expectations. You will follow the UK Power Networks Project Governance and Control process throughout the full life cycle of the project, from initial enquiry to post investment appraisal.

You will also liaise with asset management, delivery partners, customers, government offices, and other internal and external stakeholders to obtain point of connection information, produce quotations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage the financial control, ensure design compliance with CDM, work on long-term strategies for connecting new load, and present to UK Power Networks senior management.

To apply for this role, you need to have a can do and customer friendly attitude, a keenness to exceed customer expectations, and confidence in presenting to external and internal audiences. You also need to have a degree in electrical engineering or a similar qualification, or a proven experience in project management or distribution networks.
