Job Title: Commercial Controller
Salary:    Up to £24k Depending on experience
Location: Sunderland


ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing data and preparing reports and has experience within a commercial/financial environment.   

You will be playing an integral role within our commercial team, collaborating with quantity surveyors and commercial managers to ensure costs are controlled, our profits are maximised and our clients are delighted with a great value for money service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviewing scheme works and pricing completed works
• Preparing staged applications for payment using IFS (company accounting system)
• Liaising with Operations and Planning department for forecasting
• Controlling submissions and logging completed jobs
• Generating weekly revenue and cost reports
• Reconciling costs and preparing Subcontractor payment certificates
• Liaising with the client to reduce 'Work In Progress' days
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports including analysis

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We're seeking a commercially and customer focused person, who has excellent attention to detail, enjoys working collaboratively and comfortable working to deadlines.

Solid/advanced Excel skills are essential and experience working with finance systems (such as IFS, SAP etc.) would be advantageous.

This role offers a solid commercial career pathway for those that are keen to progress in this space.
