Job Description

We're looking for a Commercial Administrator to join our Natural Resources Team working on our Severn Trent framework. With the option to work from home you'll also need to visit offices and maybe Severn Trent sites from time to time.

Location: Solihull, West Midlands

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Administrator you'll liaise with and support the Commercial Team and assist with the commercial management of projects in both the pre and post contract stages. The Commercial Administrator will demonstrate organisational and administrative skills with the ability to work as part of the overall Kier Commercial Team. Schemes will be between £5m-£20m in value on resilience and upgrades work to both clean and dirty water treatment plants.


Your day to day will include:

  • Updating the invoices received log and allocate all invoices to the relevant quantity surveyor.
  • Carry out admin tasks as required specific to the project.
  • Assisting with compiling subcontractor orders and variations and with compiling tender packages.
  • Ensuring subcontractors and suppliers return tenders by the completion date and chasing up where late.
  • Collecting quotations for tender packages and create Tender Quotation comparisons, highlighting all differences including price, specification, terms, lead times etc.


What are we looking for?



This Commercial Administrator is great for you if you are:

  • Previous administrative experience in a commercial environment.
  • Numerate, organised, methodical and accurate and able to work to tight deadlines, whilst being flexible and able to respond to frequently changing circumstances and demands.
  • Capability to analyse complex data, to identify non-conformances and recognise trends in this data.
  • Fully conversant with relevant Microsoft software.
