Location - Home Based

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Apprenticeship programme

 During this 2-year programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career. Throughout this programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it in. 

As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional experience, you’ll also gain academic and vocational qualifications. The role holder will be working towards becoming a subject matter expert [SME] in cloud, mobile, and on primes technologies and infrastructure, as well as understanding and being able to audit and review secure system design.


  Key Responsibilities 
  • Ensure Veolia's Informational and Operational Technology infrastructures and services operate in an environment that guarantees their confidentiality, integrity and availability.

  • Resolve security-related incidents and alerts, determining the relevance of observed CVEs and ensuring the deployment of effective countermeasures.

  • Respond to security audit and compliance questionnaires, liaising with specialist providers of security services, testing the effectiveness of security controls and advising senior management of any non-remediated deficiencies or weaknesses.

 What is required 

To be eligible for our Digital Systems Apprenticeship Programme you will need a passion for contemporary environmental issues, have a good foundation knowledge of IT systems and strong motivation for the role. You will also need to meet our entry criteria: 

  • 5 GCSE grade A*- C or grades 4 - 9 (or equivalent) including Maths, English Predicted grades  

  • Good foundation knowledge of IT systems and basics required.

  • One or more of the AWS associate and/or Azure certifications preferred, but a strong aptitude and desire to work in the cyber security and cloud space.

 In addition to this, it would be advantageous if you have CCNA or equivalent network experience and an understanding of and prior exposure to automation scripting.
