Kier Integrated Services have been awarded the Early Civil Works for Phase 2a of the new HS2 rail link, this being the section between Birmingham and Crewe, aside to this HS2 has also awarded KIS a second work package to design and deliver a phase 2a route wide electronic clash detection system. This system is currently under construction and is to go live around the first week in June 2022.

We are currently recruiting for a Clash Manager on a 11 month Fixed Term Contract to lead a small team of personnel to manage Land Access Clashes in the North and South of the HS2 Phase 2 route.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting Clash Manager role, you'll report into the Route Wide Clash Manager and work closely with the Kier GIS team and all work package contractors, utility companies and contractors. The role will require managing and supporting the team to coordinate with all project contractors (e.g. enabling works, utility contractors, main works etc and to lead dialogue where a clash is identified with a view to try and resolve a clash prior to escalation to HS2.

What do we need from you?

A proactive, highly organised and people person with good IT skills i.e MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint. You'll have a good understanding of CDM Regulations and the role of a Principal Contractor. You'll be able to work well under pressure and have an ability to build strong relations internally and externally. PR experience and GIS and Data Management experience is preferred. SMSTS accreditation is advantageous.
