Business Development Executive (SME)
Salary – £30,414 to £38,018 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pm
Location – Hybrid – Working from home and FCC Office - Doncaster/Lincoln
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team and spearhead growth within the waste and recycling sector. The role will be to identify and target potential clients who have an annual spend up to £40,000. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer service sales, with an understanding of the waste management industry and a passion for driving sustainable solutions.
The role is office based, (hybrid working from home and FCC Office - Lincoln or Doncaster) covering enquiries from across the UK, although some business travel may be required.

What will you be doing?
- Generating new leads through creatively sourcing and targeting potential new clients within your designated territory.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in target organisations.
- Conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborating with internal teams to customise waste management solutions that meet the unique needs and challenges of prospective clients.
- Preparing and delivering persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business opportunities.
- Tracking and analysing sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to inform strategic decision-making and optimise sales efforts.
- Managing your own time and diary whilst adhering to set KPIs and achieving individual sales target.
- Staying updated on industry regulations, environmental policies, and technological advancements to ensure compliance and your ability to offer innovative solutions to clients.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably within the waste management or environmental services industry
- Confident in telesales
- Strong understanding of waste management practices, recycling technologies, and sustainability initiatives
- Strong IT Skills
- Full valid driving licence
