Assistant Treatment Manager for Water Recycling

£42,000 Circa depending on skills and experience + manager's standby allowance + car allowance

Secondment / Fixed Term Contract - 12 months,

Full time - 37 hours a week

Location: You will be working within the Norfolk & Suffolk area

Join our team as an Assistant Treatment Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operations of our water recycling treatment teams based in the East of the region. Reporting directly to the Treatment Support Manager, you'll step into a dynamic environment, where coaching and supporting play a key part of your role. Flexibility is key here and you'll excel in adapting to shifting priorities with ease. Your agility will ensure that you remain responsive to evolving needs and emergent opportunities. Drawing upon your technical expertise in water recycling operations, you'll serve as a valuable resource for coaching and supporting team members. Your knowledge will empower the team to perform at their best, driving operational excellence and innovation.

What does it take to be an Assistant Treatment Manager?

  • An understanding of Water Recycling treatment and associated processes to enable you to coach and support team members

  • Awareness and application of Health & Safety rules and regulations in an Operational Environment

  • Waste Management knowledge would be desirable

  • Demonstrate experience of leadership skills within an operational environment

  • Ability to adapt communication styles (written, verbal and electronic) to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities

  • Good understanding of all Microsoft packages including Power BI, to present and interpret data/information in clear, concise and most appropriate way

  • Full driving license

Key duties will include:

  • Regular Active Management with Technicians - Coaching and supporting

  • Assist in daily management of the Treatment area and team to meet Compliance, H&S and Financial targets

  • Project activities involving collection/coordination of work activity and/or information

  • Event/minor Incident resolution such as major plant breakdowns

  • Cover Managers absence/meetings with appropriate delegated duties and responsibilities
