Job Description

We're looking for a Civil biased Assistant Project Manager to join our to join our utilities arm of Kier called Natural Resources, working across sites in the Thames Valley region.

Location: Thames Valley

Contract: Permanent, Full time

What will you be responsible for?

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll be working within the Thames team, supporting them in overseeing the successful delivery of scopes through all stages, from design to handover, on multiple integrated schemes, involving the installation and upgrading of treatment and distribution assets. Kier are a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions.

Your day to day will include:

  • Overall project reporting including collation of Project on a Page and KPI's
  • Engage with the direct and supply chain workforce on matters of Health, Safety and Well-being, leading by example on leading indicators to promote engagement.
  • Selection of Civil, Mechanical & Electrical supply chain and package scope based on technical and commercial judgement, in consideration of client Frameworks and a willingness to challenge where a there is programme or commercial opportunity.
  • Accountability for design integration of civil and M&E package plants and associated control and automation.

What are we looking for?

This role of Assistant Project Manager is great for you if:

  • 5 years industry experience - ideally including Water/Waste Water
  • APM PMQ or PFQ
  • Knowledge of CEMAR
  • Knowledge of Thames Waters capital delivery project life cycle
