Apprentice Workshop Mechanic

Hourly Rate- £11.44 per hour (plus benefits)

Hours – 45 hours per week, 8.00am to 5.00pm

Postcode of depot – HR2 8BH

As an Apprentice Workshop Mechanic at FCC Environment, you will learn all aspects of becoming a Qualified HGV mechanic. This vacancy is for a full-time position. However, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?

- Working as part of a team within the FCC Workshop
- Ensuring that all regulations are followed in respect of the Health and Safety at Work Act and all other statutory regulations, as applied to work being carried out by the company
- Learning all aspects of becoming a Qualified HGV mechanic
- Participating in ongoing training within the organisation to remain sufficiently skilled and to be able to fulfil their duties
- Attending college on block or day release from date to be announced
- Ensuring all work allocated is completed to an acceptable standard with regard to time and objectives
- Preparing and submitting relevant paperwork/worksheets/records etc.
- Ensure all operations are legally compliant and systems and procedures work in line with the quality and environmental systems in place
