Analytics Trainee

Location: Homebased - Must be able to travel within the Anglian Water region

Salary £19,000 pro rata

2 year fixed term contract

What will you be doing?

We have created an analytics community across Anglian Water, which comprises of a number of teams who work closely together and share information around data and analytics best practice. In this position you will develop your data analysis, report creation and data engineering skills. As part of your training you will take part in several placements in some of our analytics teams across the business. This will help you to develop expertise and networks in different areas.

In particular you will also:

Develop reports and dashboards primarily using Power BI

Analyse data to test a business hypothesis

Provide expertise and guidance on measures to display throughout reports

Build necessary data models to support appropriate reports

Engineer our data to enable exploration and data sciences

What do you need?

Ideally you will have some reporting, analysis or data engineering experience that has been gained through education, previous employment or self development. In particular you will also have:

Some experience and/or knowledge with Power BI, Python, R and SQL

Experience in Microsoft Office

Good mathematical skills

A passion for data and how it can improve decision making

Strong communication skills
