      • Learning. Earning. Growing. Developing.

      • Scottish Water is built on people. We’re passionate about developing the potential of everyone in our team, making the most of your skills and abilities - and offering you every chance to progress with one of Scotland’s largest and most important businesses. So join us as an apprentice and you’ll be more than ‘just’ a part of the team who manage millions of litres of waste water produced by households across Scotland every day - you’ll be building a career that can take you in any number of directions.

You’ll also be part of one of Scotland’s largest and most critical businesses - and an organisation built on people from all backgrounds. We’re a team that respects and values peoples’ differences, where you can be yourself - and where you can flourish. We’re passionate about creating opportunities for men and women who have the ability to deliver essential water and waste water services to the people of Scotland, now and in the future.

Who are we looking for? We’re looking for people who are self-motivated, team players who enjoy being outdoors. You should be practical, well organised and a good problem solver with a positive attitude and the ability to work on your own initiative. You’ll have five National 4 or 5 Qualifications (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence (or currently be working to achieve this) as you’ll typically be working across a number of our sites.

This is your chance to learn as you earn, working with industry-leading teams across Scotland to help deliver services that are essential to the daily lives of the people of Scotland.

What’s it like working at Scottish Water? We take employee engagement very seriously - and we’re proud of our inclusive and collaborative work environment where we respect people’s differences. We are passionate about creating opportunities for young people and are proud to have the Investors in Young People Gold Standard accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to providing rewarding opportunities for young people.

We have excellent opportunities for you to develop through our apprenticeship programmes. If you are interested in these opportunities you can register your interest now by completing the short application here (this will take around 5 minutes).  Click the apply button below.

Full applications for our 2021 Modern Apprenticeship opportunities will be accepted towards the end of March. By pre-registering we’ll contact you then to let you know how to apply.

If you would like to help us create the Scottish Water of the Future then pre-register by midnight on Sunday 14th March 2021.
